A shower has been adapted for women with reduced mobility.
Services & Activities
L'Auberge Madeleine advocates a feminist approach to intervention that values women’s empowerment while respecting their individual pace. Various services and activities are offered during and after the stay to help women regain power and improve their living conditions.
Each resident is assigned a counsellor who accompanies her during her stay, answering questions, reassuring her, and helping her achieve her goals.
A guidance counsellor supports women in the various endeavours they wish to undertake. This can include getting or maintaining a source of income, finding housing, taking steps to improve their health condition, and much more!
L'Auberge Madeleine offers the services of an income tax clinic that will make it possible for women to file their income tax reports free of charge, thanks to a volunteer who contributes through her knowledge and expertise.
An ongoing partnership with the CLSC des Faubourgs enables a nurse to offer consultations at the Auberge.
A collaboration with the University of Montreal School of Optometry translates into the possibility of referring women to a free mobile optometry clinic throughout the year.
Several times a week, thematic, ludic, and art workshops are offered. Activities and workshops provide a space to learn, share, and create. Whether to take their minds off things, entertain, take time, express themselves, or create bonds, activities and workshops are rooted in the day to day life at L'Auberge Madeleine, and they foster a sense of belonging to this ephemeral home. They enable interactions between women and provide a space for solidarity and the development of ties despite their difficulties.
External
Services
